Taxonomic notes: As correctly pointed out by Robinson (2023: 38), the lectotype desgination of Mitchell (1960: 271) is considered valid as he referred to the "type", so the desgination of Sheffield and Perron (2014: 127) was not required.

Robinson (2023: 37) also correctly indicated that Sheffield and Perron (2014: 127) incorrectly referred to the type material of P. Nebrascensis Crawford as a holotype, but also indicated that a lectotype ♂ was designated by Crawford (1912: 368). However, without providing any information on this specimen, including where it was held, Crawford's (1912: 368) did not unambiguously distinguish the male specimen at the USNM [no. 8235; USNM ENT 00533809, from Lincoln, Nebraska] as the lectotype as the syntype series contained 20♂ from both Lincoln and West Point, Nebraska.
