Taxonomy
Perdita luteiceps Cockerell, 1896: 74 [♂].
Holotype ♂. USA, Colorado, Glenwood Springs, 24 August 1894, by Prof. Gillette. [XXX]
Taxonomic notes: Timberlake (1960: 36) indicated that the ♀ had been previously misidentified [in part] as P. zebrata Cresson, 1878, and gave a full description. He also indicated that the species was quite uncommon, known only from Colorado.
This species belongs to the octomaculata group of species in Perdita s. str. (see Timberlake 1960: 1; 1962: 1).
