Taxonomy

Nomada (Xanthidium) Graenicheri Cockerell, 1905: 189 [♀].

     Holotype . USA, Wisconsin, Milwaukee, 16 August 1903, by S. Graenicher [USNM no. 29483].

 

Taxonomic notes: The ♂ was described by Graenicher (1911: 239).

Biology: S. Graenicher, cited in Cockerell (1905: 189) indicated that this species probably uses late summer flying Andrena as hosts, especially those occuring on Helianthus spp.
