Holotype ♀. USA, North Carolina, Swain Co., Andrews Bald, Mt. 6000 ft., 26 July 1923, by J.C. Crawford [USNM no. 40305].
Taxonomic notes: The ♂ was described by Gibbs (2011: 36).
