Taxonomy

Emphoropsis infernalis tristissima Cockerell, 1904: 161 [♀].

     Holotype ♀. USA, California, Los Angeles and Lancaster, Mohave Desert, by Dr. Davidson. [AMNH no. AMNH_IZC 00323546].

Emphoropsis interspersa Cockerell, 1905: 99 [♂]. Synonymy by Brooks (1988: 574).

     Holotype ♂. USA, California [ANSP no. 10270].

Emphoropsis rugosissima Cockerell, 1905: 182 [♀]. Synonymy by Brooks (1988: 574).

     Holotype ♀. USA, Nevada [ANSP no. 10267].

 

Taxonomic Notes: Lutz and Cockerell (1920: 591) recognized this as a valid species.
