Sphecodes prostygius Mitchell, 1960: 499 [♀]. Synonymy by Gibbs et al. (2017: 95).

     Holotype ♀. New Hampshire, Meredith Center, 3 August 1957, by R.A. Morse, on Solidago [CUIC].
