Taxonomy

Nomada festiva Cresson, 1863: 289 [♀], not Nomada festiva Schmiedeknecht, 1882 (= Nomada italica Dalla Torre and Friese, 1894).

     Holotype ♀. USA, New Jersey, by E. Norton [ANSP no. 2592].

 

Taxonomic notes: The ♂ is unknown.

An early use of the name Nomada festiva is in Illiger (1806: 94, no. 49), though it is considered nomen nudum?

Distribution in Canada: Pindar 2014 [ON].

The presence of this species in Canada has not been confirmed.
