Taxonomy

Halictus (Chloralictus) obnubilus Sandhouse, 1924: 28 [♂].

     Holotype ♂. USA, Colorado, Boulder, 18 July 1908, by S.A. Rohwer [USNM no. 26427].

Lasioglossum (Dialictus) lilliputense Gibbs, 2010: 178 [♀]. Synonymy by Gardner and Gibbs (2021: 14).

     Holotype ♀. USA, Montana, Gallatin Co., N44.80377 W111.17462, elev. 2030 m, 23 June 2007, by J. Gibbs and C. Sheffield [PCYU].

 

Taxonomic notes: Prior to Gardner and Gibbs (2021), Lasioglossum obnubilum (Sandhouse, 1924) was not known from outside of Colorado, USA. Its female, described as Lasioglossum lilliputense Gibbs, 2010 was described from Montana, with additional material from Idaho and

British Columbia (Gibbs 2010). Gibbs (2010: 180) suggested that L. lilliputense was possibly the female of L. obnubilum, which was confirmed by Gardner and Gibbs (2021: 14).
