Taxonomy

Andrena (Trachandrena) ilicis Mitchell, 1960: 186 [♀].

     Holotype ♀. USA, North Carolina, Ivanhoe, 12 April 1945, by T.B. Mitchell, on Ilex [USNM no. 75180].

 

Taxonomic notes: The ♂ was described by LaBerge (1971: 460).

Distribution in Canada: Pindar 2014 [ON]; Sharkey 2022 [ON].

Sharkey (2022: 122) recorded this as a first record for Ontario and/or Canada, though it had previously been recorded by Pindar (2014).
