Taxonomy

Colletes susannae Swenk, 1925: 1 [♀, ♂].

     Holotype♀. USA, Nebraska, Lancaster County, Lincoln, 26 July 1904, by M.H. Swenk, on Petalostemum purpureum [UNSM].

 

Biology: Swenk (1925: 5) indicated that this species was oligolectic on Petalostemum.

Distribution in Canada: Stephen 1954 [AB, MB]; Mitchell 1960 [AB to MB]; Hurd 1979 [AB]; Sheffield et al. 2014 [AB, MB]; Gibbs et al. 2023 [MB].
