Taxonomic notes: Cockerell (1918) indicated that his A. politissima Cockerell, 1931 was close to A. trachandrenoides Viereck, 1904, the latter of which he indicated was never fully described.

LaBerge (1973: 306) incorrectly recorded the date for A. dolichotricha Cockerell, 1924 as 1904; as Cockerell (1924: 349) indicated two syntype males (collected by W.P. Cockerell and C.L. Corkins), the mention of a particular specimen collected by W.P. Cockerell is considered a lectotype designation.

Distribution in Canada: Viereck et al. 1904b [BC], 1904d [BC, as A. trachandrenoides Viereck, 1904, type locality]; Criddle et al. 1924 [BC, AB]; Criddle 1925 [AB, as A. marioides Viereck, 1916]; Linsley 1951 [BC, and as Andrena trachandrenoides Viereck, 1904]; LaBerge 1973 [BC, AB]; Elwell 2012 [BC]; Sheffield et al. 2014 [AB]; Sheffield and Heron 2019 [BC].
