Species Notes

This species was not included in Donvan’s (1977) revision, though it has previously (Linsley 1951: 1080) and subsequently (Hurd 1979: 1830) been placed within the subgenus Simandrena, but was not included in the revision by LaBerge (1989). Gusenleitner and Schwarz (2002: 653) placed it in the subgenus Cnemidandrena, and Gusenleitner et al. (2005: 453), placed A. robervalensis into synonymy under A. runcinatae. More recently, Gibbs et al. (2017: 19) considered it a distinct species based on comparison of type materials, and suggested A. specularia Donovan, 1977 as a possible synonymy, though as stated above, indicated that more study was required.
