Taxonomic notes: Webb (1980: 106) indicates a collection date of 7 April 1890 for the lectotype of A. cressonii, differing from that reported by LaBerge (1986: 527); Robertson (1891) originally reported a date range from 5 April to 4 June [1890].

Records of this species from BC by Viereck et al. (1904) and Criddle et al. (1924, also as A. trumani Viereck and Cockerell) are suspected of being A. cressonii infasciata Lanham, 1949.
